Thats the 1st attemtp and had sound sync issue, here the one i watched and learn about wow modding, specially about characters.

You dont need it actually, you can use it of course and i think exist for both,tho  you can create/work under a new mpq file and make your corrections-additions there.

I made a small update, since im kinda occupied from work plus im still in need for someone that can help me in reskin some models. Im moving towards a beta so in deep need for a help to reskin. At the moment if i finish those epic mount reskins im release for a beta. Here are some changes i did during this period, i have also restarted to re work character models too, tho since that small bug exist i aint gonna add them now on beta, it will be on a later and separate update.

Great work, man. Really appreciate it. A few things I've noticed:

- humans are actually in the patch (and there's some trouble with the hair texture appearing on the face and such)

- epic tiger mounts are all screwed up, looks like they're using old textures

- stationary hyppogryphs at flight masters have no eyes (a glowing texture issue, I suppose)

- hammerhad shark also has messed up texture

- Water and fire elementals look like they're "cut off", I think they are supposed to be floating on water and fire clouds (or smth like that) but nothing shows underneath them

- some lightning issue on the undead character screen (floating particles are actually suspended on light beams, I don't know how else to describe it)

This is much larger than I thought it would be. Have you thought about how you're going to update it? Make small separate patches or write step by step instructions on how to fix? Seems a waste to keep downloading 700mb each time.

Hello and thanks for like the mod. I can only ask to people post what they found and what might have miss during the process. Since this is beta nothing is fully working and models will be look bad, i.e those epic tiger mounts. Its like that cause i havent finish their new textures. Same applies for the character models which unfortunately accidentally left behind. Was supposedly not be included since they are consider an alpha.

So major idea is you folks to test and report your findings, a good idea is to add a screenshot describing what you saw and ill included to the new addition. Also i want to say again that this is vanilla and some things arent working as cataclysm or WoD. That applies to particles effects and such. Game is old lets not forget that.

Now as for the updates. Ill probs will do 1 more critical 700Mb like and rest will come with small patches probs, or to say best will be 1 critical and might be 1 or 2 more. I will not extend to more.

Thats all i hope all enjoy.

Yes, I am probably telling you things you already know :) but still... here's some screenshots I took earlier.

The undead char screen has those beams there and some of them follow the flying bird and such.

You can see what I mean with fire elementals. The fire effect is missing (they should be have some fire underneath them, like here: 1yLlcJ4kaTQ.jpg

The shark is self explanatory.

I don't know about the horse mount, just noticed that when the guy was summoned, but I haven't seen any epic horse mounts since then.

Ok for the undead screen, go check into your options "Vertex Animation Shaders" and activate it. As far as i know epic warhorse has textures working except the honor one. When its white you might have to wait a bit to load, and clear your WDB folder, it adds too.

Hmm.. that was with "Vertex Animation Shaders" enabled. Actually, disabling it made some things better, but made some worse too (and also siege engine in the dwarf login screen looks bad if it's disabled). I haven't seen any problems of this kind in the game, however. So I guess it's not a big deal (and you can always change the login screens anyway).

Some others had the same issue and reported that enabling the vertex shaders solved the situation. Also one them reported upon enabling that thing was ok after updating his graphics driver. I can investigate but i believe is graphics issues, till only 2-3 people report same issue that solved with graphics and vertex enable.

Nope, its kinda early to say. Mod needs time out there so people report issues. Im already on it and working the updates.

Some things i've found: Undercity Bat and Duskwood barrel inside of a lamp-post. I think this may be because of the object being placed next to the post in vanilla. Also, just some facial hair discrepancies between vanilla and Uthil Patch on human models.

Hi,

First of all congratulations for the great work, this is just fantastic ! You are an inspiration and I started modding a few days ago when I saw what you were able to achieve because I really wanted to help.

I started with something of interest because often used, the bat taxi which is completely white  :

The textures referenced in the batTaxi.m2 file were dynamic instead of hardcoded and in vanilla there is no dynamic texture for this specific model so I hex edited the m2. I still have some black parts on the model, and particles are way too big but it already looks better.

I also noticed that the camera is way too high when using a taxi. I haven't found yet where the taxi camera is. In the m2 the only camera positions setup are for charInfo and portrait...

I also had to modify the M2 template because I was having issues with passed end of file at variable 'timestamp' or 'nValues' due to invalid offsets. It is still failing in the 'attachments' section. I need to have a deeper look at it but info on the M2 file structure is really rare.

If you can give me a hand on the camera and m2 template I'd really appreciate =)

Hey and thanks. In my patch the specific model is from an earlier build and was still under beta for blizzard so i didn't succeed to make it work on textures and etc. Now i was going to update my legion after the new listfile came out and since the problem with a db2 also solved. About the camera i haven't messed with it since model was beta in legion too. Was waiting in fact things move on with the listfiles and then retest. From which build you got yours ?
