    Version 0.0.8

This model is geared moreso towards people who play with Classic models but would like something extra to spruce it up. Here we have Classic Night Elf models that have been rigged with the new HD animations (I chose Nightborne animations, because I felt they looked better). The face has updated polygons, and I've included Tyrande's Cataclysm assets in the character customisation (her hair, face and body). However, the old textures (body and face) will also work. Also, I made the Night Elf eye glow for all faces actually glow on the model, instead of using the dodgy 2D sprite glow effect that all Night Elves, Blood Elves and Death Knights share. In the future, you can expect additions from Azshara, similar overhauls for Night Elf Males with Illidan and Malfurion assets and eventually new Human and Blood Elf models based off Wrynn and Sylvanas, respectively (all with HD animations). The goal is to achieve higher-definition and smoother models that don't detract from the general artstyle of WoW in the way I feel that the models from WoD onwards do. If you don't want the new Tyrande skins, just delete Pelvis, Torso, Skin and Face files. I'd recommend keeping the Hair, as the normal Night Elf hair textures will look mismatched. At the moment, only one face option works with the Tyrande skin - the rest of the faces will cause a mismatch in the skin colour. You can solve this issue yourself by removing the other faces in CharSections.dbc, replicating the 1 Tyrande Skin texture multiple times so that all faces with the skin will be that one, or just plain ignoring it. More importantly, only one hair style (the one in the screenshots) works. I can add all the other hairs in time, but for now I'm releasing it like this.

    Version 1.5

All Classic, TBC and WotLK clothing textures upscaled to x4, downscaled by 50% and then converted to BLP. vanilla and TBC textures really get a nice boost from this. Thx to the model-changing discord for pointing me in the right direction with things here. TODO: Correct distortions, AI upscale errors on effected textures. Upscale/denoise items such as: Shoulders/Head/Cape/Shield/Weapons etc. etc. EDIT: Thanks to those of you who have pointed out some distortion or oddities in some of the textures. I didn't catch these and will improve them for the net release.

    Version 1.0.0

I recently found myself in possession of GigaPixel, and decided to run some Classic textures through them, hoping to counter some of that terrible 128x64 resolution quality. I happened to like the results a lot more than I expected, and decided to spend a little time polishing the outputted textures. Now that I have them though, I figure I might as well share them for others to try around with. The zip contained herein contains both a WotLK patch containing high resolution shield textures for classic items (pretty much 95% of all shields gotten found in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor), and a folder containing all 132 modified textures as raw .pngs, for further modification and adjustment as desired.

Before we go any further, it is important to note YOUR PASSWORD WILL BE STORED IN PLAIN TEXT INSIDE YOUR CONFIG.WTF FILE. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SECURITY RISK, SO UNDERSTAND YOU ARE WEIGHING CONVENIENCE OVER SECURITY BY USING THIS PATCH. CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Hello there! My name is Marotheit, and today I wanted to share my login screen tweaks for Wrath of the Lich King. This compilation of tweaks removes a lot of the extra clutter and adds a convenient "Remember Password" button to your login screen. The "Manage Account" and "Community Site" buttons, as well as the forgotten password text have been edited to redirect to ChromieCraft portals, because that's the server I personally play on, although this can easily be edited with an MPQ editor to fit your situation. It is available in two flavors: Default and ElvUI Themed. The default package only contains patch-7.MPQ and two edited WoW executables; both allow interface edits, while the x64 executable also has Large Address Aware applied for ease of use. One of these executables must be used or you are unable to edit the login screen. The ElvUI Themed package also includes an installation of ElvUI-Glues-WotLK. This patch is compatible with other patches that change the login screen background. I can only guarantee compatibility with Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (12340). It may work on older versions of Wrath of the Lich King, but I haven't tested any of them out. Shoutout to Reznik for the original inspiration of the project. The remember password feature is largely based on his original work.

This is a version of the well-known FuTa tool by Hanfer that is able to extract and import alpha maps to ADT. In contrast to original version: It is able to batch export all layers from the ADTs. (File menu) It is able to batch import images from a folder with ADT files. Just place them into the folder where you have your ADT file opened, name the images appropriately (e.g. Azeroth_31_32_layer_1.png / Azeroth_31_32_layer_2.png / Azeroth_31_32_layer_3.png) and click on "Template import" in FuTa Red. Sadly, source code is lost to time.

Heya MC So I've been trying a few different "darker nights patches" for vanilla wow, but they all seem to have the same problem and I really don't know if this can be fixed, but I thought that this site would be the best place to ask. The problem is that the darker nights mod doesn't seem to affect places such as Orgrimmar, Battlegrounds, Dungeons, Raids etc. So for example, while in Durotar it can be pitch dark, but in Orgrimmar it will still look bright as if it was day. Another thing is weather changing, like whenever it starts to rain or snow it removes the darker night effects and these problems kinda ruins the whole thing for me. Now, I do not have any knowledge regardning any of this however I think it has something to do with the "skyboxes" or whatever it's called, being different in each zone and each weather has its own skybox, so maybe a darker night effect has to be applied for each skybox. (I don't know). I was wondering if anyone here could be interested in making a patch that would apply darker nights everywhere in WoW for patch 1.12.1. I personally don't want it to be pitch dark nights, but just slightly darker would be perfect. - Less is more concept. Cheers and thanks in advance! TL;DR: read bolded text.

If you're interested in learning how to make your own darker nights patch, you need a program called Lightmapper which will show you all the light sources in Azeroth. Each node that you see on Lightmapper refers to an entry in the Light.dbc. Use the WoW Dev Wiki to understand the structure of that dbc file, and you shall see that it refers to LightIntBand.dbc in two columns. One contains information for clear weather lighting and the other for rainy/snowy lighting. There are also entries for underwater lighting, use that if you wish. With the numbers you find in the Light.dbc columns you have to multiply them by 18 and subtract 17. That will be your starting row in LightIntBand.dbc. That row and the next 17 rows in LightIntBand.dbc all contain information regarding that specific locations light settings (the one you found on Lightmapper). You'll need to specify the time of day intervals as well as the color of the lighting using hex color codes. Black lights would make it extremely dark while brighter colors will make it brighter. It's a lot of copy and paste work. The WoW Dev Wiki should help you. There's another way of modifying the lights a little bit faster using Sharp WoW if I remember correctly. I've never done it myself though.
