    Hiya, Today I would like to share with you my mount patch containing at this point 45 mounts going from Cata to Legion retro-ported to Wrath of the lich king. I work on this patch from time to time so be sure to keep an eye out for newer versions. Happy Modding. Poisonleaf
  2. Hiya, So for the past couple of weeks/months I'v been trying to alter Nagrand in a way that I find it fitting it would look like after the Burning legion was defeated. Meaning bring it back to the state of beauty it once was. Now the texturing and all goes fine. I get to edit all the texture I want, Re add the water or recreate it. That all works fine. The problem starts when I want to go ahead and start with adding Objects in the form of WMo's or m2's. Than stuff goes missing that was originally in the map like waterfalls and rocks etc. There some parts that just have huge lag and i'm unable to move, Not even trying to work there. There also some original objects that are spawned 20 times ontop of eachother not sure whats the deal with that. I had it before but than I redo the whole thing with the following tip. Amaroth gave me the tip on Modcraft to only save once every noggit launch and that's what I'm doing but still these things are occurring. So now I've been thinking to do this a whole other way. Ill leave the map how it it with the missing tree's and rocks since it's still in an okay state. Ill finish Nagrand in noggit pure on texture and water, preparing it for objects. Ill than patch it and work on it In-game with adding all the objects (I think i've seen somewhere that you can patch your game and add (any) objects to spawn in-game) Once that is finished I will go back to noggit and finish it off with the roads and some minor texture work. Is that something that could work or what do you guys propose? At this point any help or advice is welcome. Poisonleaf
  3. Hiya, I was wondering if there was a quick and better way to replace an existing model within your map with a newer version without having to do them all manually. Both Models are shaped in the same way and are very similar. I was wondering if maybe renaming the newer model to the older one would work so that it would be picked up as the older one. Only problem with that could be the scaling used if it's not 1:1 Any suggestions/Feedback? Thanks. Poisonleaf.

    Hiya, Just a simple folder that contains all the tilesets used until BFA. Place the folder into a custom patch and they are ready to be used inside noggit. Happy Modding, Poisonleaf
  5. Hiya, Today I'm going to explain how to copy existing light setting to your own custom map. *Note: This will only work if you only use one light source. For this tutorial you will need the following tools. MyDbcEditor Lightmapper The first things you will need to do is decide which light settings you wish to copy. Once you have located that zone within World of Warcraft is it time to open Lightmapper. For this tutorial we are going for Lake sunspring in Nagrand. Within Lightmapper navicate to the correct zone and search for the light.dbc entry (A red dot on the map) that is controlling your desired area. Memorize that ID number. Head over to MyDbcEditor and open Light.dbc. Search in the first column for the ID number we have found within lightmapper. Right click on that ID line, Copy line to... and enter the last ID (of column one) plus one. (Last ID is 2156, You enter 2157) Edit column two to your map ID that can be found within map.dbc Edit Column three, four and five to 0 Left: Light.dbc Right: Map.dbc Save light.dbc and place it within your your DBFilesClient folder inside your patch folder. Succes! Your custom map should now have the copied light settings. Thank you for reading, Be sure to ask any questions when needed.     Hiya With this object set you get the original dark tree's from world of draenor's shadowmoon & two types of custom recolors I did. This will help spice of the tree scene and color dynamics in all your map creations & fantasies. In a later edition I might redo the brances since they do stand out a little bit more then I was going for. I also included the photoshop file for recoloring the texture. Be sure to drag the world folder into a custom patch before use and keep the folders & path intact. Happy Modding. Poisonleaf.

Hiya, For a while now I have been working on a custom map/continent and today It might be time to release some screenshots of the work so far. it's far from done and this is basicly the first serious thing I ever do in noggit. But with the help of Skarn ( who deserve part of the credit for his advice and guidance) I for one think it looks rather good. I hope to be able to start with the zones soon and in the end, hope to release the server I dream of playing on. Allright, Here we go.

    Hiya, Today I'm releasing my custom map that was created for the contest I hosted on my stream. Apart from the fact that this map has won the contest do take note that this is highly unfinished and will need work & love. The map contains the library of objects used and a small zone that shows my input on how I would see the zone finished. This map is free to use for what-ever purpose & is a great way to get into noggit. To fully be able to use the map files you will need to also download two of my other patches.   10. Don't worry about it, If you are thinking about & planning to make a server like that just know it will require alot of work, patience & dedication. To be a server online you'll have to compile a core onto a server, For the landscape you'll have to look into working with noggit & creating your own patches as well as custom items & elements from BFA. Those are usually retro-ported (converted) to an older client. At this point they are two major client that people work with, Either the classic 3.3.5a (Wrath of the lich king) that has the most tools & maybe even focus but also has it limitations. Or legion where fewer people work on but can create a more up-to-date experience. I think that's about everything in short. Offcourse there is much more to discuss about this but I would suggest trying to think for yourself what your goal is and to do some research here on the forum. - Poisonleaf.
  11. Same, I made a recolor for WSG for someone and he uses it on everyone private server he plays on. Including Warmane.
  12. Hiya, The time is now to vote for the winner! As we are awaiting for Skarn our official judge to make his report, The community can also vote on who thing made the best zones. If you havn't followed the story & has been living under a rock let me break it down for you. Poisonleaf & Sphynx have been going head to head in a five hour stream to create the best looking Jungle themed zone. The rules we're simple with as mean subject to have atleast one ADT of play-able area. It is however needless to say that we did not finish the map in five hours but we're able to select atleast one sreenshot for your judgement.   18. Hold on, are we talking about giving a custom area a new name? or creating a new map. If you want to create a new map you're in the from DBC. You will need Map.dbc if you want to create a new are I think you have to paint said area in noggit under the new name you want it to have.

    The city icon I used for my world map. It's contructed from different parts based on the Gilneas city icon. I have also added the photoshop file if you wish to modify certain elements.
